I’m Giselle, a passionate photographer drawn to the beauty of nature, travel, and human connection. Originally from Cuba, my journey behind the lens began as a way to document the world around me—its places, people, and quiet moments—and over time evolved into a deeper mission: to create meaningful, timeless imagery that tells a story.

I believe photography is more than capturing a scene. It’s about presence, emotion, and memory—about preserving moments that resonate long after they’ve passed. Whether I’m photographing the grandeur of a landscape, the rhythm of everyday life while traveling, or the subtle expressions within a portrait, my goal is always the same: to create images that inspire connection and reflection.

Since 2024, I have been a proud member of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). I currently hold accreditations in Travel Illustration, Botanical, Pictorial/Scenic, Ornithology, and Nature Photography, each one helping shape and refine my artistic voice while holding my work to the highest professional standards.

In 2025, I was honored to have three images accepted into the PPOC National Image Salon, a juried exhibition celebrating excellence in Canadian professional photography. The Salon was unveiled during the Canadian Imaging Conference in Ottawa, and seeing my work recognized alongside photographers from across the country was a deeply meaningful milestone.

​

At the provincial level, several of my images were accepted into the Professional Photographers of Canada Alberta Regional Salon 2025, where I was also named a finalist for Photographic Artist of the Year—one of the most meaningful milestones in my creative journey to date. Among these works, one image was honored with both the Best in Class distinction and the Judges’ Choice ribbon, a recognition that holds special significance for me.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m exploring new destinations, chasing beautiful light, and finding inspiration in the everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Through my work, I hope to share my perspective of the world and offer imagery that feels honest, intentional, and emotionally resonant.
